Here's something to ponder: New Orleans has an annual Tennessee Williams festival. New Orleans, so far, so good. At the festival they have a "Stella!" shouting contest. New Orleans, drunks screaming "Stella!" while NOT looking for a beer. Sounds like a Cosmo road trip to me!
It must be sponsored by Stella Artois. Love it. (Apropos of nothing, I remember an Anna Quinlan column from years ago in which she likened Fred Flintstone's "Wilma!" to a stone-age version of Stanley's roar. Loved that too.) Thanks for commenting. --mary
